Some time ago a coworker and two of my nieces provided me with journals in which to record my life story in my own words. I started doing just that. However, I decided to use the web to accomplish that task but with the added benefit of being able to include a photo record as well. Therefore, this site is my place to preserve my life experiences and to share those experiences with family and friends. It is also a place for me to play and learn.

Enjoy....

Genealogy & Photos:

In this area I will attempt to maintain a genealogical record of the Herrick/Williams families as well as a family record in photographs. For security, both areas are password protected. Email me to request access.

Career:

Life after college began during the Vietnam war with a draft number of 45 and no deferment. Thus, my first career was with the US Military - starting with USAF flight school and ending with retirement from the Washington Air National Guard. My second career started two years after entering the military. I left active duty and joined The Boeing Company as a electrical engineer. These pages chronicle my careers in the military and The Boeing Company.

Humor:

I've preserved a little history from The Boeing Company and link other sources of humor I enjoy.

Information:

This is a catch-all for stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else.

The Virtual Wall is a place for visitors to leave tributes, letters, poems, photos, and other memorials to someone named on The Wall for other visitors to view. The goal is to provide an environment like The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall itself, with the dignity and respect those named on The Wall have earned. There are no flashy or noisy distractions, no commercials, no fee to publish a memorial, and no hand held out for donations.

"The The Military Heroes Fund provides wounded soldiers with services that the Defense Department cannot offer due to budgetary and regulatory restrictions. These unmet needs are identified by the military command, the Military Severely Injured Center, VA advocates and others. The services provided include child care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), laptop computers for wounded soldiers and their families staying in Fisher Houses at military hospitals, hospice suite at WRAMC built and donated by the Foundation for deployed soldiers diagnosed with terminal cancer, emergency financial support, and other Programs for patients and families."
